Name Slim KhezriAbout Slim Khezri is an international, opinionated and well-experienced artist, better known as SLIM K . A Renaissance Man in Music (ASCAP), Film (Screen Actors Guild eligible), Writing, Photography and Design. Slim is Tunisian native with a dual citizenship German/Tunisian, born on Tuesday July 18th, 1972 in the Hansestadt Lübeck, Germany. Slim was raised by his parents in Timmendorfer Strand and Lübeck of Germany and spent seven of his teen years with his relatives and grandmother in Jendouba and Tunis of Tunisia (North Africa). Currently Slim resides in Los Angeles, CA. USA. Aside from his many talents (and through his education), Slim is also fluent in German, Arabic, English, French and conversational in Turkish. Slim's first major debut was on German national television at age 19, at the legendary Saturday night program "Rudi Carrell Show", which came two years after hard work and excessive touring, the show was hosted by one of the greatest entertainers Rudi Carrell (which concept was equivelant to the US. version of "Your Big Break" and very similar to "American Idol") - "Rudi Carrell Show": A Celebrity sound-look-a-likes compete for cash and prizes. Each contestant is introduced by their real-name and the singer they are emulating. They are each given roughly 3 minutes to impress the studio-audience with their singing ability and/or likeness to the celebrity. The performances are accompanied by elaborate stage-sets, dancers and full costuming. The winner of each show is determined by electronic-voting courtesy of the audience members, with each winner returning at a later date to compete in the grand-finals. Slim K stepped onstage as Michael Jackson, performing "Billie Jean" live (no lip-sync), almost 18 million TV Viewers had seen the show, that particular episode is considered to be the 2nd highest rated and most watched show through it's run. Slim was sensational, showcasing spectaculary the King Of Pop moves with staggeringly accurate choreography and voice. He soon proved to be unstoppable in the following months and years, appearing on a dozen popular TV shows in Germany such as "Kerner" [Sat.1], "Arabella" w. Arabella Kiesbauer [Pro Sieben], "Gong Show" [RTL] and in Africa on "Klacket" [Canal 21 in Tunisia], just to name a few. Slim performed as well on major Radio Festivals such as R.SH, ffn, NDR events in Germany, Radio Vienna in Austria and Radio Tunis in Tunisia via satellite. Slim exploded as well on many Open Air Concert stages alongside the greatest acts in the 90s such as The Backstreet Boys, Dr Alban, Mark Owen (of Take That), Army of Lovers, Haddaway, DJ Bobo, 'NSync, Worlds Apart, Captain Hollywood etc. and last but not least he visited Michael Jackson on the History Tour. Slim K toured with his show European-wide (Sweden, Austria, Denmark, France, Netherlands etc. and Asia (India, Turkey etc.) Africa (Tunisia) . Late 1995, Slim K visits the US. for the first time and performs in Las Vegas, NV. USA and meets with Siegfried & Roy. Summer 1996, Slim K causes pandemonium with his appearance on "Arabella auf Rügen" talk show on Pro Sieben Channel (Germany) as a special guest, performing "Black Or White" and "Billie Jean" and teaches Arabella the proper way how to grab crotch and moonwalk. 1999 Slim K performs at the German Football League (GFL) pre game show for the The Braunschweig Lions (BSL) vs. Hamburg Blue Devils, presented by Radio ffn, Attendance 30.400. Slim is strongly influenced in Music by Producers Quincy Jones, Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards, Colin Thurston, Chris Thomas, Teddy Riley, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams. by the late 70s & 80s Pop Glam New Wave Funk Disco sound defined by Chic, Michael Jackson, Kraftwerk, Roxy Music, Duran Duran .. as well David Bowie, Kajagoogoo, Queen, Depeche Mode, A-ha, George Michael, The Police, Japan, Michael Jackson, Prince and as well from other genres he keeps an openmind such as Classical (Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy), Opera, Jazz, Swing (The Rat Pack), Classic Rock (Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin), Electronic, Dance, Soul, Motown, Hip Hop and R&B. In Film by Sir Charles Chaplin and the Golden Era (incl. In Summer 2006 Slim K showed his keen interest in Arts by representing the Los Angeles branch for Vernissage TV (based in Switzerland), attending opening receptions/ vernissages of exhibitions and events. providing insight to the social side of the art world in L.A. by Videos and Documentaries. (Slim is currently developing his own Arts Site) 2006 and 07 saw the involvement of Slim K in different TV and Movie projects including "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" (feat. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom), "Charlie Wilson's War" (feat. Tom Hanks), playing John The Baptist in "Unlocking Ancient Secrets of the Bible" (narrated by former 007 Sir Roger Moore), starring as a Sex driven addict in "The Sexaholic" and as a Killer in the controversial Turkish-Armenian political drama "Article 301", as well a number of music videos incl. Hip Hop legend KRS-One and Britney Spears comeback "Gimme More". July 2007 Slim K appeares briefly for the first time in 8 years for a one off gig as Michael Jackson in Japan's TBS TV show Goro's Bar. September 2007 Slim K debut for first the time in an Opera production, appearing as a Prisoner in Ludwig van Beethoven's "Fidelio", directed by italian designer Pier Alli (general director Placido Domingo). at the Los Angeles Opera {Dorothy Chandler Pavilion}. 2008 proved to be a successful and productive year in Slim K's career, as he continues work at the Los Angeles Opera in Giuseppe Verdi's "Otello", directed by british John Cox (general director Placido Domingo) playing a Venetian Sailor and Venetian Senator. May 20th, 2008 Slim K announces via Press Release the new single "(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco" . Slim K continues work on television by guest starring on a new kids TV show as Nautzo Mahacho in a "Kids Unlimited" (G4) episode The Model Man, as Éric (Hospital Visitor) in a "Mystery ER" for the Discovery Health Channel, as a Casting Associate in "Nip/Tuck" (FX Networks) and on the reality hit show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" (A&E TV). Slim K performs "(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco" on My Act TV in Studio City, CA., an online talent broadcast, in high definition, for industry use. One of the highlights of the year remains the digital release of "(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco" which was supported by multiple Music videos, through doubaJen Records on May 27th 2008 on iTunes Worldwide (incl. Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody and many more). Featuring 8 tracks produced and remixed by Marcel Agterhuis (Netherlands), Sinan Mercenk, Thorsten Adam (Germany), Klaus J Olsen (Norway), Mhe Hseeri (USA). "(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco" received some noticeable and respectable attention in Japan, Australia, Germany, UK and parts of the Middle East. Slim K appeared as well on international and national online media outlets (online interviews, online performances and radio talk) Between March and Aug. 2008, Slim K continues playing bits and parts in different Movie projects such as Yusuf the interpreter in "Win Win / AIDE Vignettes" (Military project), Mr. Yarijanian in the urban comedy "The Haunted House Of Chronic", a Yes Patron in "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey and Terence Stamp, in The Da Vinci Code prequel "Angels & Demons" playing a Homeless Gypsy in Rome, directed by Ron Howard, starring Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor. plus on "Hannah Montana: The Movie" (with Miley Cyrus) and in the urban thriller "Haitian Nights". In Commercials Slim K appeared in the latino "Sony Ericsson" ad., shot by director Simon Brand, in Arablounge.Com as Hasan GQ (incl. voice over in Arabic) and in the controversial "Amnesty International Gay Rights" ad. (which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival '08), shot by spanish director Juan Varela. Slim K worked briefly with Jon Udelson by contributing a photograph and a written text to his book "Arabic Tattoos", published by Mark Batty (New York). In the Video Game "Dracula: Origin" (by DreamCatcher Games), Slim K lend his voice to the character of Mustapha. this marks the third involvement in a digital video game project after "Patriots: A Nation Under Fire" (2006) as an Arab Terrorist leader (Voice Over) and SOE Sony Online Entertainment "Wheel of Fortune" (2008) as a Mediterranean Model (Face Scan). In Music Videos Slim K worked on Fall Out Boy "I Don't Care", Panic! At The Disco "Northern Downpour" and the political satire "Battlemonger" by Jaded Patriots playing George W. Bush / Uncle Sam. Dec. 08/ Jan. 2009, Slim K worked on two of a new 12 episodes military training series "Army 360 Cultural Awareness" by Sacred Sword Inc./Combat Casting, directed by Jared Chandler (xXx, Behind Enemy Lines, Clear and Present Danger), produced by Jody Hart and written by Col. R. Alan King (Middle East expert retired leader of the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division and author of "Twice Armed: An American Soldier’s Battle for Hearts and Minds."), Slim K plays an Iraqi Militant. Jan. 2009, Slim K is playing a Trader in the upcoming adventure fantasy "Tales Of An Ancient Empire" starring Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, Andromeda) and Christopher Lambert (Highlander), directed by Albert Pyun (The Sword and the Sorcerer). Between Jan. and Apr. 2009, "(Move & Dance) Burn The Disco [Sinan's Eat This Remix]" the music video "Rise Of The Rhythm Nation" is picked and scheduled for showings in various Animation Art Festivals in Japan.
